lysdexia, day 6

[ lysdexia | day 1 | day 2 | day 3 | day 4 | day 5 | day 6 ]

crunch time!!! first cut some holes for PSU wires to feed through - all wires to be hidden behind the motherboard trey

break open some old acrylic led blocks we made about a year ago - salvage the high-intensity blue led's.

dremel the acrylic to host the led's.

4 led's connected in sequence - 3.5V each - to be connected to 12V

same for the back plate, but one led has to be mounted remotely

a hole next to the PSU to power the back acrylic plate

idiot-proof power and reset buttons mounted on a PCI blank. we will probably try to get some other buttons - but that's down the road and out of the budget.

do you know what happens if you have two fans hanging next to each other on wires and then you plug them in? the bounce off of each other rather nicely and then POP! luckily we pull some 80mm fans out of one of our rigs

final assembly begins

that's a brand-new Abit NF7-S you're looking at!

we forgot to use the special power connector for the LCD and plugged in the regular floppy connector instead... on first power-on - smoke smoke SMOKE!!! fried the LCD... also, the GPU's fan doesn't like running upside down... but other than that, here are the final shots:

THE END
